ESIEE Paris is taking part in the 3rd edition of Equality Month, organised from 4 March to 4 April by the Université Gustave Eiffel. This is an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to equality, gender diversity and increased female participation in engineering.

Quiz honouring female figures
In partnership with the Elles bougent association
We took part in the 1st edition of THE EQUITY WEEK, organised by the Elles bougent association.
From 4 to 7 March, all the school’s pupils and staff were asked to take part in a quiz designed to honour female figures. This event was organised with the help of the HERA club, the school’s gender equality club.
On 8 March, 3 prizes were awarded to the winners of the quiz.

Photocall & digital campaign #Ellesbougentpourle8mars
In partnership with the Elles bougent association
Just like every year, we participated in the 8 March digital campaign run by Elles bougent, who we are partnering with this year. On Friday 8 March, we organised a
photocall at the school and invited all students and staff to have their photo taken.
It was an opportunity for ESIEE Paris to show our commitment and support for International Women’s Rights Day.

ESIEE Paris stand at the “Woman and Cyber” fair
On Thuesday 12 March, ESIEE Paris took part in the 2nd "Woman and Cyber" event, dedicated to the employing women in cybersecurity.
Organised by Eden Forums in collaboration with CEFCYS – Cercle des Femmes de la Cybersécurité and Cyberjobs, this forum took place in Paris. The aim was to talk to female students and present our cybersecurity courses and their career opportunities. Two female students were present on the stand to share their experiences and show that cybersecurity is also a field for women!

“Girls can code!” traineeship
Organised by the Prologin association
On 16 and 17 March, the school hosted the Prologin association, who organised a free "Girls can code" traineeship. This IT course, which required no prior experience, was aimed at secondary school girls. Over a weekend, they learned the basics of Python programming and created a small project.
This initiative is supported by the French Ministry for Equality between Women and Men and the Fight against Discrimination.

Sharing 5 testimonies on the theme of “Women Engineers”
Following the round table “Et Si Ingénieur s’Ecrivait avec un E…”, which took place on Thursday 23 November 2023 at ESIEE, four alumni and one student agreed to share their experiences on video.
Is engineering for geeks? Is having women on the team a plus? Is it necessary to encourage women to take on responsibilities within companies? Is it still necessary to fight the pay gap? Is it necessary to provide gender equality training in schools and companies?...
