About us
Founded in 1904 under the name École Breguet, ESIEE Paris has always stood out as an engineering school focused on innovation and entrepreneurship. One of its most famous alumni is Marcel Dassault, founder of one of the very first industrial groups: Dassault Aviation. A more recent graduate, Yann LeCun, is one of the fathers of the current AI revolution. He invented deep learning and founded and directed Facebook's AI lab.

ESIEE Paris was recognised as the leading engineering school for French entrepreneurs at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the world's biggest trade fair for technological innovation in consumer electronics.
ESIEE Paris is a CCI Paris Île-de-France, school and has naturally developed strong connections with the most dynamic companies in terms of engineer recruitment. These ties contribute to one of the school's biggest achievements: almost 100 % of ESIEE graduates are employed within 6 months of graduating.
ESIEE Paris is a founding member of Université Gustave Eiffel, created in January 2020. The aim of this new university is to achieve international visibility and recognition in education and research in the field of inventing the towns and regions of tomorrow. Université Gustave Eiffel is the only French University to combine a university (UPEM), research centre (IFSTTAR), school of architecture (EAV&T) and three engineering schools (EIVP, ENSG and ESIEE Paris).
ESIPE and ESIEE Paris have merged to create a single school under the name of ESIEE Paris.
1 January 2023 was an important milestone in the history of ESIEE Paris: ESIPE, an engineering school created within Université Gustave Eiffel and a pioneer in apprenticeship-based engineering training, merged with ESIEE Paris, a school of technological innovation and a member school of Université Gustave Eiffel and CCI Paris Ile-de-France, to form a single school.
Training
ESIEE Paris trains general engineers equipped to meet the challenges of digital and environmental change, through 5- or 3-year courses. It offers 20 specialist programmes in the fields of:
• Computer Science, Security, Artificial Intelligence • Industry 4.0: Industrial engineering, mechanical engineering and maintenance • Electronic, communicating and embedded systems • Energy transition, civil engineering and construction • Digital and connected health • Arts and sciences
ESIEE Paris is strongly committed to developing apprenticeship-based engineering training. It has 1,200 apprentices on 10 different courses.
Research and innovation
Research, innovation and industrial collaboration are priorities for ESIEE Paris, whose work focuses on 3 research areas: sustainable cities; health; innovation and society.
ESIEE Paris has five technology platforms: the clean rooms • virtual reality room • microwave, optical and digital communications room • embedded systems platform • analysis of innovation databases.

The CTI is an independent body that has been responsible under French law since 1934 for assessing all French engineering schools, and foreign ones on request, with a view to their accreditation. It is also in charge of developing the quality of training and promoting the title and profession of engineer in France and abroad.
