Privacy policy
L'Université Gustave Eiffel, protects the privacy of Internet users visiting its website in its capacity as data controller within the meaning of Act no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 as amended (hereinafter the "Data Protection Act") and the General Data Protection Regulation no. 2016/679 (hereinafter the "GDPR") of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016.
The purpose of this chapter named "privacy policy" is to inform you about the processing of personal data that is linked to this site managed by L'Université Gustave Eiffel in its capacity as data controller. This chapter informs you about:

- The way in which Gustave Eiffel University uses your personal data

The Université Gustave Eiffel collects your personal data directly or indirectly, in particular :

- Via the site's data collection forms

Purposes: the processing of personal data carried out by the Université Gustave Eiffel through the site has the following specific purposes:
- Processing your questions or requests for information or any other request (e.g. recruitment, enrolment)*
- Registering for a private area, in order to provide access to a private part of the site*
- Measuring the audience and anonymously tracking the browsing habits of site users
* This information is collected explicitly with a request for consent when filling in the fields of a form for its proper functioning.
How long we keep your personal data:
- Electronic identification data is kept until the account is deleted in the case of access to the private area of the website Form data (other than that enabling access to the private area) is kept, if necessary, for 365 days from the date of collection
- The retention period for data relating to cookies is detailed on the Cookies Policy page
The personal data collected is deleted following the occurrence of one of the following events:
- Expiry of the retention period
- Exercise of your right to delete in accordance with the regulations in force and the procedures specified in the article "Your rights of access to your collected data" of the present confidentiality policy
- Deletion of the site by the Université Gustave Eiffel for any reason whatsoever.
Recipients: in order to ensure the proper operation of the site and in accordance with the purposes, personal data may be transmitted to the organisers of an event in the case of registration form data collected in this context.
Files held by the Université Gustave Eiffel containing personal data will never be transmitted to other third parties and will never be sold.
Security: the Université Gustave Eiffel makes every effort to protect your personal data against damage, loss, misappropriation, intrusion, disclosure, alteration or destruction and applies the State Information Systems Security Policy (PSSIE).
Exercise of rights: in accordance with General Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 and Law no. 78-17 of 6 January, as amended, relating to information technology, files and civil liberties, you have the right to access the data concerning you directly with the Université Gustave Eiffel by contacting webmaster(@)univ-eiffel(.)fr or its Data Protection Officer: protectiondesdonnees-dpo(@)univ-eiffel(.)fr. Where appropriate, you may also exercise your right to rectify or delete this data, obtain a restriction on its processing or object to it on legitimate grounds.
Possibility of appeal: if you believe that your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL) on the CNIL website (https://www.cnil.fr/fr/plaintes) or by post by writing to the CNIL at 3 place de Fontenoy TSA 80715 75334 Paris cedex 07.
