Photo shoot & digital campaign #Ellesbougentpourle8mars

In partnership with the Elles bougent charity

As we do every year, ESIEE Paris is taking part in the 8 March digital campaign organised by the charity Elles bougent, with whom we have been partners for many years.

We also took part in the 8 March digital campaign run by the charity Elles bougent, with whom we have been partners for many years. The 2026 edition is entitled“Who’s in the driving seat?”, aiming to challenge our perceptions and break down preconceptions. Four ESIEE Paris alumni were highlighted, working in the space, maritime, robotics and automotive sectors:

‘Women in Engineering’ stand run by our students

Our student ambassadors ran a stand at ESIEE Paris. This provided an opportunity for our students and administrative staff to find out more about our initiatives to increase female participation.
A range of activities were also on offer: a message board with words of encouragement for future female engineering students, a card game featuring iconic female scientists, a photo booth…

Exhibition: ‘Women in Engineering: Our Female Engineers Tell Their Stories’

Breaking through glass ceilings: alumni lead the way

This year, we wanted to shine a spotlight on our alumni to inspire our students.
Twenty-five of them have agreed to share their stories and offer encouragement to future female engineers.

Amélie Adet

Operations Manager at Atlas Copco, Graduate of ESIEE Paris (2011)

" I’ve always loved science and wanted to manage a team. My job as an engineer has allowed me to combine these two aspirations perfectly. I never notice the time passing when I’m at work. I work on exciting projects with a great deal of autonomy. "

Cassandre Rayer

Production Manager at Lausanne Regional Public Transport, Graduate of ESIEE Paris (2015)

" Take your rightful place!
Scientific and technical careers should never be a matter of gender. Yet stereotypes continue to hold women back from pursuing these careers. It is time to break down these barriers and claim what is rightfully ours: the opportunity to create, innovate and transform the world. "

Eloïse Danjean

Wind and solar power development project manager at VSB Energies Nouvelles, graduate of ESIEE Paris 2023

" Following two years of preparatory classes for the grandes écoles, I developed a passion for the energy transition and am keen to play an active role in tackling this major challenge. It was with this in mind that I decided to enrol at the ESIEE Paris engineering school, a choice driven by my desire to acquire solid skills and to take part in practical projects in this field. "

Sandrine Wamy

Operations Director at Africa Global Logistics; Winner of the 2024 Women in Industry Awards – ‘International Woman’ Award; Graduate of ESIEE Paris, 2003

" Choosing to become an engineer is a real opportunity for you. Have confidence in your abilities. Don’t let stereotypes hold you back. Engineering is not a field reserved for men. Engineering is a field in which you can excel… "

Camille Couprie

Research Scientist at META (Facebook) AI Research, Graduate of ESIEE Paris (2008)

" By the end of my studies at ESIEE, I realised I was interested in computer science research, and more specifically in computer vision, particularly the fun side of programming with images.
What attracted me to research was the fact that there was always something new to learn. At first, I was a bit worried I might struggle: what if we didn’t find anything? When you’re working on a thesis, you’re not on your own (thanks to the lecturers at ESIEE!) "

Broadcast of three personal accounts on the theme “Women in Engineering

Following the round-table discussion “Et Si Ingénieur s’Ecrivait avec un E…”, which took place on Thursday 28 November 2024 at ESIEE Paris, three alumni agreed to share their experiences in a video. They address the following questions:

What is it like to be a female engineer? What has your career path been like? Are you optimistic about the future for female engineers? Have you encountered any obstacles? Do you have any advice for aspiring female engineers?... .
