ESIEE Paris named the most active engineering school in the Ingénieuses 2026 competition
This award recognises ESIEE Paris’s long-standing commitment to increasing the number of women in engineering studies.
ESIEE Paris was named the most active engineering school at the 16th edition of Ingénieuses, with its project " What if Ingénieur were spelled with an E? Female Ambassadors Inspiring the Future "!
What is ‘Ingénieuses’?
Organised by the Conference of Directors of French Engineering Schools (CDEFI) since 2011, the Ingénieuses competition was launched with the aim of continuing its campaign to promote women in the engineering sector. Engineering schools accredited by the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur (CTI) were invited to submit any project or initiative that met one or more of the objectives of the Ingénieuses initiative. This event also highlights the career paths of female engineering students and graduates, who are eligible to enter the competition.
Several awards are presented each year to encourage role models and institutions to implement initiatives that promote careers in engineering for women.

What if "Engineer" were spelled with an "E"?
ESIEE Paris organizes a series of initiatives under the acronym " E.S.I.E.E. " – Et Si Ingénieur s'Écrivait avec un E ("What if Engineer Were Spelled with an E?"). These initiatives include a panel discussion led by women engineers, information booths hosted by student ambassadors, and outreach visits by female students to primary and secondary schools. Their shared goal is to inform, inspire, and encourage young women to pursue studies and careers in science and engineering.
This nomination recognizes the commitment of our student ambassadors through the project they developed, in which they serve as role models for young girls, helping to challenge gender stereotypes and inspire more young women to pursue careers in engineering.
During the award ceremony on May 19, 2026, all of the student ambassadors
were invited on stage in recognition of their contribution to the project.
Throughout the year, through their talks and personal stories, they have championed a strong belief: " Diversity is an essential driver for imagining and building the technologies of tomorrow! "
This year, they created videos, engaged with many young girls, raised students’ awareness, and organized quizzes and other activities to show that science is also a field for women.
