Project Day 2026: Innovation in Action at ESIEE Paris

Health, the environment, artificial intelligence, accessibility, cyber security… A look back at the 21st edition of ‘Jour des Projets’ at ESIEE Paris, where ESIEE Paris students turn their ideas into tangible innovations.

 

The 21st edition of ‘Jour des Projets’ has once again demonstrated the ability of ESIEE Paris students to conceive, design and develop technological solutions that address the major challenges facing our society.

 

More than 350 engineering students, from the 1st to the 5th year, presented over 80 projects in fields as varied as artificial intelligence, robotics, the Internet of Things, cybersecurity, healthcare, the environment, data science and renewable energy.

 

This 21st edition, sponsored by Jean Michel Karam, an ESIEE Paris alumnus and founder of MEMSCAP and the IEVA Group, brought together lecturers and researchers, alumni and business representatives to discuss the innovations devised by ESIEE Paris students.

An educational experience that places pupils in conditions similar to those encountered in industry and entrepreneurship: devising an innovation, prototyping it, and then convincing others of its potential.

At ESIEE Paris, innovation is part of everyday life through educational projects, technological challenges and collaborations with businesses and research laboratories.

Project Day perfectly illustrates this educational approach: enabling students to turn an idea into a practical solution, whilst developing their technical skills, creativity, team spirit and entrepreneurial spirit.

Once again this year, the projects presented offered innovative solutions to issues relating to health, the environment, accessibility and the green transition.

The winning projects from the 2026 edition

Innovation Award: Beetter
Presented by Jean Michel Karam, Founding President of MEMSCAP and the IEVA Group, and patron of the 21st edition
A connected, solar-powered device that enables beekeepers to monitor hives remotely and supports them in keeping track of their colonies.
 Project led by Charles Aucouturier, Anthony Azza, Ethan Bourgois, Thibault Agueh and Simon Berdugo

 

Best Technical Project Award: VigiZone
Presented by Denis Bureau, lecturer at ESIEE Paris
A connected system designed to prevent collisions between workers and vehicles on construction sites, with a view to improving worker safety.
  Project led by Clarisse Blondel, Maxime Le Blan, Naim Ben Raies, Benoît De Keyn, Jeremy Fouilloux and Hugues Jouhaud

 

Health and Disability Award: AmySign
Presented by Jean Paul Davi, Technical Director for Europe, Microprocessor Support / NXP Semiconductors
A 3D avatar capable of instantly translating speech into sign language to facilitate communication and inclusion for deaf and hard-of-hearing people.
 Project led by Sarah Oulboub, Léa-Madeleine Pombo, Ny Soa Rabearivony, Jade Rebeyrolle and Anh Khoi Nguyen Ho

 

Environment Award: FARO
Presented by Céline Recor, Managing Director of NXP France – Head of Automotive FAE EMEA / NXP Semiconductors
Autonomous forest sensors capable of predicting how a fire will develop and providing invaluable assistance to the emergency services.
  Project led by Jean Catherine, Thomas Degoul, Valentin Poclet, Leon Rostand, Christophe Sannier and Marius Velluet

 

Audience Favourite Award: EduPicto
Presented by Louis Desplanches, President of the AA-ESIEE Alumni Association
The EduPicto app translates text into pictograms to aid understanding for people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Project led by Guillaume Straba, Antoine Tavernier, Rayhana Truong and Leyson Yaba-Ley

 

Promising Start-up Award (2nd year): Questassure
Presented by Julien Fleury, CEO & Founder of Weeroc
An open-source, AI-assisted extension designed to simplify the simulation of electronic circuits in VHDL.
Project led by Sacha Darier-Legrand

 

Promising Debut Award – Year 1: CodeQuest: The Lost Fragments
Presented by Julien Fleury, CEO & Founder of Weeroc
The pupils devised a computer adventure game in which the player must save a programme before its battery runs out.
 Project led by Sarra Jerbi

 

1st Prize in the Video Competition: AQUOS
Presented by Christine Cevaer, ESIEE Paris
A closed-loop shower system capable of filtering and reusing water in real time to significantly reduce water consumption.
Project led by Kylian Al Gisi-Sisowath, Athish Ananthakuma, Victor Augris, Liam Bah-Payen, Mohamed Baichou and Louis Bugada

2nd Prize in the Video Competition: AI-powered parakeet deterrent
Presented by Charline Durand, ESIEE Paris
An on-board camera system capable of filming the area around a bird feeder in real time to detect and deter parakeets.
Project led by Lucas Matias, Lucien Popa, Noémie Diop, Manon Schielin and Thomas Quero

 

3rd Prize in the Video Competition: Smart Coach
Presented by Aurore Narayaninsamy, ESIEE Paris
A virtual assistant designed to support, correct and motivate athletes at home using artificial intelligence.
Project led by Pierre Ardoin, Rayane Dridi, Ziad Fleurisson, Alexis Guinle, Rani Hayot and Victor Vignot

A community committed to innovation

Project Day would not be possible without the commitment of the professionals, academic staff, alumni and partners who support ESIEE Paris students every year, share their expertise and help to promote student innovation.

From an idea to an entrepreneurial project

Following on from Project Day, around ten projects will benefit from the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Coaching scheme (VUE, MediAI, Beetter, CaptainFork, Edu-TSAI, EV-WAVE, PDAL-R, Shape, DeltaATS, VIE VALDI).

This extension demonstrates ESIEE Paris’s commitment to supporting its students beyond the academic setting and fostering a genuine culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, by helping them transform their projects into high-potential initiatives.

The supported projects will then be presented at a pitch session on 9 July 2026, during which students will present their projects to a panel of industry professionals. Following these presentations, two Entrepreneurship & Innovation awards will be presented, recognising the most promising projects and their potential for development.
