ESIEE Paris is hosting the research seminar " Environmental Knowledge in Companies. "
A series of lectures in humanities and social sciences, from February to June 2026, as part of the chair " Ecologizing Industry? "
From February to June 2026, ESIEE Paris is hosting a research seminar in humanities and social sciences focused on the production of environmental knowledge by companies.
Organized as part of the chair “Ecologizing Industry?”, this lecture series brings together researchers from various disciplines to discuss contemporary challenges in the ecological transition.

A research seminar led by ESIEE Paris
In light of the growing role of companies in environmental transitions, this seminar aims to analyze how private actors seek to integrate environmental issues into their production processes, focusing on two main areas:
The characterization of environmental knowledge produced by the firms themselves
The characterization of the effects and utilization of this knowledge by firms within regulatory spaces and public action
Co-organized by Benjamin Raimbault (LISIS, ESIEE Paris) and Camille Rivière (ENGIE Lab / EHESS), the seminar is part of the activities of the chair “Ecologizing Industry?” led by ESIEE Paris. It aims to bring together a community of researchers in the humanities and social sciences (sociology, history, economics, anthropology, management sciences) working on the connections between companies, the environment, and public action.
