8 students from ESIEE Paris have been awarded the Handimanager accreditation

An initiative run in partnership with Dassault Systèmes and the organisation Companieros, which forms part of a wider programme to raise awareness and provide training on disability issues in the workplace.

Eight students from ESIEE Paris have been awarded the Handimanager accreditation, a recognition that highlights their commitment to improving the inclusion of people with disabilities in the workplace.

Last February, they were presented with their awards at a ceremony held at the school, marking the culmination of their training programme.

A training programme on equality and inclusion issues

In 2023, ESIEE Paris launched a Handimanagement programme in partnership with Dassault Systèmes and Companieros. With the support of experts and professionals, these future managers have acquired the essential skills needed to foster a more inclusive corporate culture.

Feedback

At the awards ceremony, the pupils shared their thoughts with great maturity:

" I’ve always been surrounded by disability, but this training has made me even more keen to take action, and I feel ready to become an ambassador in my future career. "

" I feel a sense of satisfaction today; I’m delighted to have been awarded the Handimanagement accreditation because it allows me to act as an ambassador to raise awareness about disability, and I feel confident in leading a diverse team. "

" Although I was personally affected, I mainly wanted to reflect on my role as a manager "

" It’s an important issue; I think everyone needs to be open-minded about it "

" I’ve been involved in this since secondary school; I wanted to explore the subject in a professional context "

An innovative concept

These mentoring schemes enable students to learn together, with the support of a sponsoring company, about gender equality or the integration of people with disabilities into the workplace.

  • For the company, this means:

    • Building meaningful relationships with schools
    • Instilling values
    • Meeting future managers
  • For students, this means:

    • Giving meaning to their career plans
    • Learning to embrace diversity
    • Taking action at their own level
    • Tackling a social challenge

The Handimanagement label: an asset for the future

At the end of this two-month course, comprising eight modules, the students were awarded the Handimanager accreditation. This certification, which is increasingly valued by employers, is a real asset in the job market. The accreditation is awarded by Companieros, an organisation dedicated to promoting equality in the workplace and the integration of under-represented groups into the labour market.

A big thank you to the speakers from ESIEE Paris, Dassault Systèmes and Companieros for their commitment!!
