Vivatech Exhibition - ESIEESpace unveils an automated vegetable garden project

Come and experience the future at the Vivatech exhibition from 16th to 18th May! ESIEESpace, the school's student association for electronics, robotics and aerospace, will be present and will demonstrate their automated vegetable garden project.

A robot to follow the development of a vegetable garden!

The aim? To grow vegetables without using human interaction. The vegetable garden performs several necessary functions, such as sowing and watering. The robot will then learn to identify diseases and treat them.

Sustainable development as a priority

In terms of resources, the choice of materials and energies involved has been carefully considered. To limit the use of running water, rain water is collected. When it rains, the vegetable garden is watered, whilst a tank is simultaneously filled with rainwater. Regarding electricity consumption, the aim is to reduce the system's overall consumption, and to produce its own energy through the use of solar panels or wind turbines.

“It is a project designed to be part of sustainable development. Therefore, we are paying particular attention to the choice of resources used in this project.” ESIEESpace
