Biomedical engineering recovers new concepts dedicated to medicine and biology for advance healthcare applications, like early diagnosis, physiological parameters monitoring and original therapies.
Our research focuses on the study and development of innovative and highly sensitive micro- sensors for medical diagnosis (e.g. IOP sensors, blood flow sensors) and new neuro-bioelectronic interfaces (e.g. Micro Electrode Arrays for in-vitro and in-vivo applications in neurosciences, like retinal implants), based on micro and nano manufacturing facilities and innovative materials (piezoelectric thin films or diamond films).
