Naida Hodzic, a 2nd year PhD student at ESIEE Paris in the ESYCOM laboratory, stood out at the Spring MRS scientific conference held remotely from 17th to 23rd April 2021.
After two rounds of selections, she won the prize for the best presentation in the "Nanogenerators and Piezotronics " symposium.
Naida presented an experimental study on an original electronic system to maximise the conversion of mechanical energy into electricity by triboelectric transduction, based on the principle of an electrostatic machine invented in the 19th century (the Bennet doubler).
This thesis, financed by the Gustave Eiffel University, is supervised by Philippe Basset, teacher-researcher at ESIEE Paris, and Armine Karami, CNRS research fellow at the ESYCOM laboratory and Associate Researcher at ESIEE Paris - in collaboration with the LIP6 (Sorbonne University, France) and NESEL (SKKU, South Korea) laboratories.
Spring MRS is a major event for materials researchers from around the world who seek to advance interdisciplinary research in this field and to improve the quality of life.
