ModSim'99

Workshop on Modelling and Simulation Methods

20-22 April 1999, ESIEE Noisy-le-Grand, FRANCE

Call for Papers

ModSim'99 is th first of a series of workshop. This workshop is intended to be an opportunity to bring together scientists and practitioners in order to present and to discuss recent advances in the field of Modeling and Simulation. This workshop runs in parallel with BioMedSim'99 .

The workshop is oriented towards applications. Innovative modeling techniques should be presented in combination with their impact to the solution of real world applications.

Topics of the Workshop

This workshop is concerned with modelling and computational implementation of models in view of their validation and their use in design and management of systems. Of particular interest as well are the mathematical problems encountered during the simulation of model and the techniques applied to solve these problems.

Applications presented may be in a large number of fields such as:

  • Environment, pollution and ecology;
  • Mechanical, electrical, chemical and control engineering;
  • Energy systems;
  • Transportation and traffic control;
  • Earthquake and civil engineering;
  • Factory simulation and automation, robotics;
  • Aerospace and weapons simulation;
  • Simulation in the automotive industry;
  • Electronic circuits and systems, VLSI and ASIC's, computer systems and networks;
  • Place: ESIEE, Noisy-le-Grand; directly accessible by RER (30 minutes from the very center of Paris) or by car (20 kilometers from Paris by A4 motorway).
