Algorithms for wireless communications and localization systems

Smart objects incorporating wireless communication, sensors and positioning devices are disseminating in everyday life. They support many new applications such as body area network, environment monitoring, transport and mobility assistance, machine to machine communications.

They require low cost, low power consumption smart transceivers and new algorithms for improved communication and localization.

Our work focuses on high efficiency wireless transceivers for multi-standard or cognitive radio terminals and base stations, millimeter wave mobile communications, ultra-wideband transceivers, improved localization with MIMO radar. We address the problems with two complementary perspectives: RF technology and digital technology using signal processing.

This association is a very fruitful approach in terms of integrability, reconfigurability, adaptativity and smart processing.
