The 2000-hour programme of studies interconnects technology, management, innovation and foreign languages. The acquisition of knowledge in lectures alternates with the acquisition of know-how. This takes place through simulated applications in practical and supervised classes and in the real situations provided by company internships and assignments.

The programme particularly emphasises an international dimension and overseas internships.

Internships, projects and assignments are spread over the entire duration of the programme.

The interdisciplinary team of full-time management and technology teachers is enriched by contributions from external specialists from major laboratories, universities and companies.

Aims:

  • To keep pace with the profound changes resulting from international competition in the mechanical, automobile and aeronautical industries.
  • To train students for the roles demanded by companies: combining project management skills with proficiency in modern information technology in the aim of securing better quality, lower costs and shorter deadlines.

Scientific and technical syllabus:

  • An innovative syllabus based, firstly, on the cross-functional approach taken by companies from the concept to delivery of the product and, secondly, on intensive use of CAD/CAM (computer-aided design and manufacturing) tools for project-based work (simultaneous engineering)

Main areas of study in the technological syllabus:

  • Acquisition of information tools and finite elements
  • Introduction to design and design methods
  • Proficiency in basic science
  • Understanding of physical reality and material forming processes
  • Expertise from the pilot study to production
  • Mathematical modelling
  • Projects
  • Vocational expertise
