The 2000-hour programme of studies interconnects technology, management, innovation and foreign languages. The acquisition of knowledge in lectures alternates with the acquisition of know-how. This takes place through simulated applications in practical and supervised classes and in the real situations provided by company internships and assignments.

The programme particularly emphasises an international dimension and overseas internships.

Internships, projects and assignments are spread over the entire duration of the programme.

The interdisciplinary team of full-time management and technology teachers is enriched by contributions from external specialists from major laboratories, universities and companies.

Aims:

To meet the requirements of life-science-related industries (pharmaceutics, cosmetics, food processing, environment, etc.): the design and launch of new products from devising and managing research programmes to marketing products via strategic analysis, market positioning, necessary financing, analysis of return on investment, awareness of regulations, standards and quality.

Scientific and technical syllabus:

• Furthering scientific knowledge in biology

• Acquiring new skills in biocomputing and nanobiotechnology

• Developing methodologies to resolve technical problems and solve applications

• Integrating science and management in response to interfacing roles: developing new industrial activities or services involving living systems.

Main areas of study in the technological syllabus:

• Foundation courses (molecular biology, human genetics, cell biology, organic chemistry, etc.)

• Biocomputing courses

• Cross-functional courses (research and industrial methodology, nanobiotechnology, bioengineering and biomedical engineering)

• Management and specificity of living systems: from the concept to the end product, bioethics and industrial property
