The Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIP)

At the service of the 310,000 companies in Paris and the adjoining three départements (Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis and Val-de-Marne), the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIP) is a public institution managed by 80 CEOs from all fields of activity. It intervenes in numerous areas involving economic expansion and company life. It mobilizes strong and diverse skills: advisers, specialists, teachers. Solidly anchored in the field, they constantly anticipate company needs by offering innovative services. All of the CCIP's actions are focused on its four missions:

Representing company interests to public authorities
The CCIP's 80 elected representatives intervene with local, national and European public authorities concerning major economic issues. Using their own experience as CEOs and basing their work on analyses developed by teams of attorneys, tax experts, economists, and research and observation specialists, they make recommendations concerning legislative and regulatory modifications. Published every year in approximately thirty white papers, their forecasting studies relevant to changes in the business environment of companies, their viewpoints and their proposals are generally taken into account and acted on by the public authorities.

Accompanying firms at each stage of their development
Whether starting up, transferring, expanding company activity or winning new international markets, the entrepreneur can benefit from the skills of the advisers in the four CCIP constituency delegations and in its specialized departments. The CCIP also helps local small businesses and tradesmen modernize and adapt to consumers' new demands. With territorial institutions and partners, it fosters the establishment and the well-being of companies in its constituency: Paris and the adjoining three départements.

Educating personnel and future CEOs needed by companies
From vocational training through doctoral programs, in over 150 fields of study, the CCIP's 12 schools yearly educate 14,000 young people - including 4000 apprentices - and 40,000 adults in continuing education. These educational institutions maintain close links to companies and professional branches, which they place at the heart of their activities. Genuine laboratories for innovation, the CCIP schools anticipate the need for new skill sets and continually revise their curricula. A pioneer in the apprenticeship sector, for over 30 years the CCIP has worked on developing programs, from basic professional skill training certification to mastery. The international dimension is also a significant component of the educational programs offered by the CCIP, which in this manner participates in the expansion of French firms' competitiveness. The number and the quality of exchanges with foreign institutions (370 agreements in 54 countries) and the accreditation of its business schools by the highest academic authorities demonstrate the CCIP's commitment.

Developing conventions and trade fairs in the service of companies and the capital region's attractiveness
With the Paris-Nord Villepinte Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Paris-Le Bourget Exhibition Centre, the Palais des Congrès de Paris, and the Palais des Congrès de Versailles, the CCIP is a major player in the area of conventions and trade fairs. The expertise of its teams enables it to ensure dynamic management, through judiciously planned long-term investments. By becoming the majority shareholder of COMEXPO Paris, it has also assumed a leading role in organizing trade shows. To contend with international competition, the CCIP unhesitatingly innovates by uniting all the players in the field, developing new events and investing in leading-edge technologies. These initiatives contribute notably to the maintenance of Paris as the world capital of international business events. The stakes: almost 4.5 billion euros of direct and indirect economic fallout generated each year for the region.
