ESIEE Paris conquers space…

The system jointly developed with Bodycap and ESIEE Paris will join the International Space Station (ISS) in October 2016.

The pulse wave measuring system, which is a joint collaboration between Bodycap and ESIEE Paris will be sent to the International Space Agency (ISS) in October 2016. This system will be used by the European Space Agency’s French astronaut, Thomas Pesquet, who will join the station on November 15th 2016.

This technology, which was made possible in ESIEE Paris’ Cleanrooms, is part of the ‘EVERYWEAR’ project for the monitoring of physiological factors on astronauts, and was managed by MEDES (Institut de Médecine et de Physiologie Spatiales), ESA (European Space Agency) and INSERM (Institut National de la santé et de la recherche médicale).
